Definition
A document issued by the notified body carrying out an EC type-examination in which it certifies that the product example under consideration complies with the provisions applicable to it.
The certificate shall be forwarded to the applicant, i.e. manufacturer or his authorised representative established in the Community, and will state the conclusions of the examination, indicate any conditions to which its issue may be subject, and be accompanied by the descriptions and drawings necessary for identification of the approved example.
