Definition: | Application of some form of coating. This may be paint, polymeric, bituminous or cement based coatings. The sealing system selected will depend on the nature of the ACM, the degree of damage, the protection required and the surface flammability requirements. The sealing coat must adhere firmly and the integrity of the ACM must be sufficient to carry the sealing coat. ACMs must be firmly attached to the substrate. |
